Our three cottages were built in 1997, when we opened our doors. The cottages were designed to be light, airy, private, and comfortable. The Innkeepers live in the main house, located several hundred feet from the cottages. Landscaping is constantly evolving as we develop more areas into gardens and wetlands, bringing more birds to our property, a constant source of entertainment. We take pride in having always been an environmentally friendly Inn.

Cottages
The cottages are simply but elegantly furnished with a king-sized bed with skylight above, a table and chairs for reading, writing, or snacking, and a refrigerator and coffee maker. For your comfort we have air conditioning and an overhead fan, and either a gas or electric fireplace. All the lights are on dimmer switches. Each cottage also has a private spacious bathroom, a private phone line for local and calling card calls, and a TV/VCR with satellite service. The channels include music, movies, and sports channels as well as local, Bay Area stations. programming. We also provide large, soft cotton bath sheets and hair products.

A sliding glass door leads to a private redwood deck with patio furniture - enjoy watching the wildlife come and go, or watch the changing light on our lawns and gardens, the quail, the Manzanita Grove, the pond, waterfall or a clear view of Mt St Helena.

The Aquarius Cottage has the best Wireless Internet service and is wheelchair accessible with a shower big enough for a party! Internet access is also available for laptops on the main house’s covered patio and dining rooms.

Breakfasts
One of the many things that make Backyard Garden Oasis such an extraordinary place is Greta’s sensitivity to different dietary needs ranging from raw food or vegan breakfasts to outrageously rich French toast, omelets or bacon and eggs . Just let her know what your heart desires before you come. During the week, Greta creates a lovely fresh continental breakfast with delectable treats. On weekends, it’s a much more sumptuous affair. We pride ourselves on never having anyone leave the table hungry.

On weekends and holidays a typical breakfasts starts with fresh orange juice and fresh fruit and proceeds to main dishes such as smoked salmon cream cheese and bagels, eggs to your taste with bacon or sausage, French toast, huevos rancheros, pancakes, frittata, pastries, and fresh garden salsa. We can accommodate any dietary needs including raw food or vegan breakfasts. Just let Greta know what your heart desires before you come. During the week, Greta creates a lovely continental breakfast provided in your cottage. This consists of fresh orange juice, and such items as pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, even lox and bagels. Special requests are honored whenever possible. Each cottage has a refrigerator and coffee maker to make your own coffee or tea. We provide gourmet coffee and teas and fresh Half 'n' Half each day. Coffee is also available in the main house.

Greta provides exceptional Therapeutic Massage in the comfort of the Oasis’ lovely massage studio.
